Q I take several vitamins and supplements. Can I take them together with a Korean medicine fatigue tonic?
A Common vitamin and mineral supplements can often be taken together with a Korean medicine tonic. However, it's best to leave a 1-2 hour interval between them, and please tell us all the supplements you are taking when we prescribe.
Detailed Answer
General supplements such as vitamin C, B vitamins, and magnesium have few reported direct interactions with Korean medicine tonics, so they can often be taken together. However, iron and calcium can interfere with the absorption of herbal medicine, so it's best to leave an interval between doses. High-dose vitamins or certain herbal products may have overlapping effects with the prescribed herbs or place a burden on the Liver, so please let us know when we prescribe.
Korean Medicine Clinic Perspective
