#Safety

Q I still have symptoms after enteritis. Is it okay to just leave it, or when must I see a doctor?

A If bloody stool, recurrent high fever, severe weight loss, severe abdominal pain, or difficulty swallowing appear, you must see internal medicine immediately. These warning signs are situations where other serious conditions must be ruled out.

Detailed Answer

Post-enteritis sequelae itself shows a gradually improving course, but in the following cases you must see internal medicine first: ① when blood is mixed in the stool or black stool appears ② when a high fever of 38.5℃ or higher recurs ③ when you lose 3 kg or more in a month ④ when the abdomen becomes hard or severe abdominal pain occurs. These symptoms need to be distinguished from inflammatory bowel disease, colon cancer, reinfection, etc.
