Q I take nerve pain medication and blood pressure medication. Can I take herbal medicine alongside them?
A In most cases yes, but you must tell us everything you are taking. Depending on the type, we advise spacing doses one to two hours apart. Do not stop existing medication on your own — we decide together when to reduce it.
Detailed Answer
Medication for nerve pain can bring drowsiness or dizziness, so adjusting the timing together is safer. Medication taken continuously, such as for blood pressure or diabetes, is kept as it is when we begin. Please tell us whenever a medication changes or is added.
Korean Medicine Clinic Perspective
Bringing the exact names and dosing times to your visit is the most accurate approach. Once the numbness settles, we decide together which medication to try reducing first.
