Treatment plan by menstrual cycle phase
- Taking herbal medicine — Continue taking it as prescribed even during menstruation. However, strong herbs related to blood stasis (eohyeol) may increase menstrual flow, so the amount is adjusted.
- Herbal steam therapy (jwahun) — It is not performed during the menstrual period. It is resumed 2 to 3 days after menstruation ends.
- Clinic visits — Because discharge changes significantly just before and after menstruation, visiting during this period is helpful for assessing your condition.
