Q I take stomach medication and blood pressure medication. Can I take herbal medicine alongside them?
A In most cases yes, but you must tell us everything you are taking. Depending on the type, we advise spacing doses one to two hours apart. Do not stop existing medication on your own — we decide together when to reduce it, based on your symptoms.
Detailed Answer
Medications you take continuously, such as those for the stomach, blood pressure, or diabetes, are kept as they are when we begin. Combinations that could affect absorption are usually handled simply by spacing the doses. Please tell us as well whenever a medication changes or is added.
Korean Medicine Clinic Perspective
Bringing the exact names and dosing times to your visit is the most accurate approach. Once symptoms stabilise, we set an order for gradually reducing the stomach medication first.
