Q I take an acid-suppressing medication daily. Can I take herbal medicine alongside it?
A In most cases yes. Tell us everything you are taking and we will advise spacing doses one to two hours apart where needed. Do not stop existing medication on your own — we decide together when to reduce it, based on your symptoms.
Detailed Answer
Medication taken continuously, such as acid suppressants, painkillers or blood pressure medication, is kept as it is when we begin. Adjusting only the timing often reduces the burden. Please tell us whenever a medication changes or is added.
Korean Medicine Clinic Perspective
Bringing the exact names and dosing times to your visit is the most accurate approach. Once the pain settles, we set an order for which medication to try reducing first.
