The core reason for wart recurrence is that while cryotherapy removes surface lesions, it cannot completely eliminate HPV lurking within the surrounding normal skin. HPV lies dormant within basal layer keratinocytes and proliferates again when local immunity weakens. If you consistently take a prescription between cryotherapy treatments that replenishes Qi and blood with herbal medicines that nourish Qi and strengthen the internal organs or herbal medicines that comprehensively nourish both Qi and blood, and expels wind toxins using Schizonepeta tenuifolia and Saposhnikovia divaricata, the recurrence cycle gradually lengthens. Dongjedang recommends a 3-month follow-up observation after the completion of treatment.
