Q What should I prepare before my consultation?

A Jot down your daily bowel frequency and stool characteristics (diarrhea, constipation, or normal), foods and situations that worsen your symptoms, current medications, and test results. This makes the consultation faster and more accurate.

Detailed Answer

Even a few days of a bowel diary is very helpful—how many times a day you go, whether stools are loose or hard, and which foods or situations (stress, menstruation, eating out, etc.) worsen symptoms are important clues for diagnosis and type classification. Bringing current medications and colonoscopy or other test results will allow for a more accurate consultation.

Korean Medicine Perspective

These records are clues to finding the lifestyle patterns and triggers hidden behind your symptoms. The more prepared you are, the more precisely we can identify your type (diarrhea-predominant, constipation-predominant, etc.) and set the right treatment direction at the very first appointment.
