Q Lately my eyes are often bloodshot, dry, and gritty, and my vision is sometimes blurry. Could this be related to rosacea?

A This may be ocular rosacea, in which rosacea affects the eyes, and eye redness, a foreign-body sensation, and blurred vision are signs that should not be left alone. If you have these symptoms, we strongly recommend seeing an ophthalmologist first, separately from Korean medicine treatment.

Detailed Answer

Rosacea can be accompanied by ocular rosacea (eye rosacea), which affects not only the skin but also the eyes. If symptoms such as eye redness, dryness and a gritty sensation, eyelid inflammation, or blurred vision appear, caution is needed, as leaving them untreated can lead to corneal damage.

Korean Medicine Clinic Perspective

Dongjedang places safety first. If you have symptoms suggesting eye involvement—such as blurred vision or persistent eye pain and redness—we recommend getting an accurate evaluation from an ophthalmologist before beginning Korean medicine treatment, and we continue whole-body treatment together based on those results.
