#Food / Triggers

Q Which foods make the queasiness worse?

A Fatty and fried food, alcohol, and coffee on an empty stomach are the main ones. They linger in the stomach or irritate it directly, strengthening the upward push. Strongly scented food can trigger nausea even before you eat.

Detailed Answer

Fatty food empties slowly and drags nausea out. Alcohol irritates the lining while slowing its recovery, and coffee on an empty stomach raises both acid stimulation and tension. Very hot or very cold food is also a stimulus, so lukewarm is easier.

Korean Medicine Clinic Perspective

We suggest recording for a few days rather than memorising a list. Whatever left you most queasy within two hours is your own trigger. Reducing just those two or three noticeably shortens the hours you feel sick each day.
